Ask AI what your customers think, and it will give you an answer. It just won't be their answer—it'll be a best guess, assembled from patterns, not from the people who actually use your product.
That's the gap between working fast and working right. As more decisions get made inside AI conversations, the ones missing real human input are really just guesses with better formatting.
Now you can close that gap without leaving the chat by connecting to the SurveyMonkey plugin within ChatGPT. Create surveys, publish them, and analyze responses—all in one continuous conversation that’s backed by real people, not assumptions.
What the SurveyMonkey plugin in ChatGPT does
Once connected, ChatGPT can draft questions, build out full surveys, publish shareable links, and pull real response data into the conversation—all right where you're already working, without an export, a tab switch, or a login to a second tool.
See it in action
1. Find what you already have
ChatGPT searches your SurveyMonkey account, surfaces the survey and a quick breakdown of its questions, then asks what you want to do next—no need to remember what you named it or dig through folders.
Ask: "@SurveyMonkey Find my latest customer satisfaction survey."
2. Turn a moment into a survey
ChatGPT asks a couple of clarifying questions about what you want to learn, then builds a structured survey from scratch—right in your account, ready to review.
Ask: "@SurveyMonkey Create a post-event survey for my webinar."
3. Refine it without starting over
Something read too stiff, or missing a question? Say what needs to change and ChatGPT edits, adds, or reorders questions on the spot—no rebuilding from scratch.
Ask: "Make question 3 more casual, and add a question asking what they'd change about our service."
4. Publish without switching tools
Once it's ready, get a shareable link in the same breath—no need to open SurveyMonkey separately to hit publish.
Ask: "Generate a shareable link for the webinar survey."
5. Come back once the results are in
Once responses start rolling in, pick the conversation back up. ChatGPT pulls the response data, analyzes it, and hands back a summary of the trends and takeaways that matter—no need to export anything or dig through a dashboard.
Ask: "@SurveyMonkey Summarize the key insights from my latest survey."
Built for teams who move fast–without compromising on quality
Marketing and CX teams
Turn raw feedback into a concise, shareable summary in seconds. Ask ChatGPT for your latest NPS survey results, and it pulls the data, surfaces the open-ended themes, and summarizes them for you instantly.
Ask: "@SurveyMonkey Pull our latest NPS results and summarize the top themes from the open-ended questions for a quarterly business review slide."
Product and research teams
Turn a rough idea into a validation survey in the same conversation where the idea took shape.
Ask: "@SurveyMonkey Build a quick user feedback survey for the feature we just described, aimed at existing customers."
People teams
Stand up a pulse check the moment you sense something's off, instead of waiting for the next scheduled survey cycle.
Ask: "@SurveyMonkey Create a short pulse survey to check in on team morale this week."

Feature access may vary depending on your SurveyMonkey plan and user role. The plugin does not support editing live surveys that have already collected responses. Learn more.
The plugin is available to all SurveyMonkey customers on Basic plans and above, hosted in our US data center, with feature access mirroring your existing plan and permissions.
The plugin works in every language ChatGPT supports, though the experience is best in English. ChatGPT generates both the survey questions and the language settings to match the language you're working in, so respondents get a localized experience.
